Boerne ISD announces top teachers at Chamber luncheon
Boerne, TX-Jennings Anderson Ford Dealer Scott Wilson celebrated the Boerne Independent School District‘s (BISD) Teachers of the Year at the Boerne Chamber luncheon today at Fair Oaks Country Club. He presented to the distinguished teachers gift certificates for free car washes and oil changes at the Jennings Anderson Ford dealership along with "reserved" parking signs. The signs, complete with the teacher's name, mark the front row, reserved parking spots at each campus for use throughout the next school year.
"We are grateful to the district for allowing us the opportunity to publicly acknowledge our great teachers. We are fortunate to live in a community where education is a primary focus-and that our teachers are rewarded for their hard work," said Scott Wilson, Jennings Anderson Ford dealer principal. "This marks the fourth year that Jennings Anderson Ford has commended these teachers with rewards, which are a token of our gratitude for the innovative teaching methods these outstanding educators provide to our children."
This year's District Teacher of the Year award went to Teresa Smith from Boerne High School,. 2007-2008 BISD Teachers of the Year include: Earl Little, Boerne Middle School North; Sandie Ford, Boerne Middle School South; Lisa Taylor, Curlington Elementary School; Gail Theis, Fabra Elementary School; Kathy Christman, Fair Oaks Ranch Elementary School; Janeth Oster, Kendall Elementary School; Carrie Fraser, Cibilo Creek Elementary School.
