In-car Infotainment
Never heard of infotainment? Well, you're not alone. We just happen to be living in the age of technology advancing at light speed.
This week the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2007 presented the Ford SYNC powered by Microsoft the People's Voice Award.
As with other brilliant technology partnerships, such as Nike and Apple iPod, Ford has joined with Microsoft's SYNC. The Ford SYNC enters the infotainment world of iPods, Zunes, and Apple's new iPhone.
The Ford SYNC system enables drivers to call hands-free and to control a range of digital audio via voice commands and buttons mounted on the steering wheel. You'll be able to sync your MP3 player to the system and enjoy some really cool voice commanded features. Read the full article or just watch a short video clip and see for yourself. This fall Ford will roll out 12 models that will have SYNC factory installed technology. Soon, not only will infotainment be a household name, but so will SYNC.
